Stock filter & Air dog

I have a air dog 150 on my 04lb7.. I was just wondering if there was a way around useing the stock fuel filter and base like the air dog set ups on the dodges? Or if it would even b worth my time?

I purchased a short piece of hose and 2 barb fittings and bypassed/removed mine. Unhooking the fuel heater/water sensor doesn't set a code.
