I plan on going to "Cruisin the Coast" about 550 miles one way

Was thinking about swapping the injectors to a new set of 0432131837
they are from another project, that I went with even bigger injectors.

info I have found says > injectors have the perfect amount of fuel for daily driving, towing and fuel mileage, enough fuel for*50 RWHP.

My question is will my mileage change ?
better or worse?

presently the 92 CTD 5 speed, and 3.54 gear
gets 16 mpg towing the race car
20 mpg no trailer.

debating if I should swap them or not. the stock injectors have less than 5,000 miles and were bought new.
truck runs fine like it is.

Just an FYI, that injector has the larger sac type nozzle being 4x0.013" with the wider 155° cone angle.

Which means hot smokey mess on a 145deg piston in a 92.

Thanks for the info >Smokem and badbowtie

I fairly new to modding Diesels
I based my first purchase of the injectors, on the advice of someone else.
the injectors didn't do what I needed > drag racing> ( different vehicle )

So, I have these just setting in the shop.

if I can run them in my truck.

If not, then what to do with them ?
I do understand the 145 vs 155 angle

My confusion comes from google the part number > say they are used in 89-93 engines
that is why I asked this question,

Thanks

You can run them, they will work, though it is not efficient due to the difference in injector spray angle piston bowl angle.

I had a similar situation to yours on my 91 innercooled 12v. Purchased a spare set of rebuilt injectors for cheap just to have and modify. They have sac style tips, 155*. I ran them for 2 days while I had my original injectors checked. They worked for what I needed.

I noticed the engine sounded completely different at idle and under a load. It ran smokey all the time, no matter the throttle position. All due to unmatched piston bowl and injector spray angle.

My plan is to buy different tips some day for my spare injectors. Tips that will match my piston bowl angle. You could do the same.

Read here. You will learn. (We need to figure out this photobucket thing for the sake of threads such as this one.)

That injector was most common in an Industrial application, typically with a Simms injection pump. In many instances the wider cone angle can work well, same can be said for the Marine injector, but it depends on the setup.
