Tick/Knock issue with heavily modded grail

bent push rods will cause the same effect... usually from ether lock. The warped side will hit the cylinder head causing a slight peck, but will also go away once the tappet spins teh push rod enough to clear the head.
 
Ok. I backed out. It would be my daily and I can't take a chance with something like that.
 
Ive had this screwdriver tapping sorta sound at idle on my 12v for ages. Sound is loudest on the driver side near the injector pump.
truck has the stock lift pump on there, plus all the mods in my sig. I have had the compression tested, and the piston protrusion measured not long ago and all were fine.
Injector pump is rebuilt with about 10k on it, tops.. doubt its that either.
Ive always assumed it was an echo of an exhaust leak or an injector.
I might take another look at my valve lash just for the heck of it. Pretty sure it didnt make any difference last time I did it.
Pushrod / rocker / tappet noise maybe? I scrubbed a cam lobe last year, should re-check that.
Infra-red temp gun on the exhaust headers could give you an idea if thats an issue.
