I noticed most of the pullers seem to be using fat tires instead of skinny ones. Is there a reason for this? I would've thought a skinny tire would be better as it should dig in more.

Fat tire has more ground underneath of it-more traction:wheel speed vs less traction:wheel speed...IMO.

A wider tire has a bigger "Foot Print" on the ground and is more than likely not going to dig ditches down the track as much as a skinny tire. If you dig too deep it will hurt you more than help in 2 ways: Less hitch height on the far end, and it will be like trying to drive over wheel choks the whole way down the track.

Ah, that makes sense. Thanx!

more you dig, the more dirt that piles up in front of the sled
