tranny build questions...

Alright guys been getting geared up to do some performance mods and rebuild my tranny, and I talked with some reputable tranny and TC builders. And I talked to one that told me for my application i could get away with a mostly stock rebuild with just adding a good valve body (he recommended firepunk) and one of his 3xBillet converters (DPC) and a billet input shaft. Whats everyones take on that? I like the idea cause it saves me some coin but will it hold up to my application?

Truck is my daily driver seeing 8-10k miles a year. Occasional tow of my race car which is 6-8k lbs.

You probably need at minimum a 5 friction/steel on the direct clutch pack.

sweet thanks for the insight, and after much thought Ive decided to just go with a firepunk tranny. He seemed like a great guy and ive read nothing but good stuff about him.
