New Garmon transmission and torque converter just arrived. Tow model 2 (48RE) for a 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 4X4 5.9CTD.
Local shops are tied up until after Christmas, might have to to visit my buddy and do the install in his shop.
What fluid is Jeff recommending for these. I believe he said Dexron, but I forgot to ask if he meant Dexron III or Dexron VI. I hate to bug him again, anyone know the answer?

I don't know that Jeff recommends anything but, I change my fluid around 4 times a year... during the racing season. I've always used what Jeff does which is basic ole Napa ATF. It's cheap and works well, I've not had a problem using it. 18qts of ATF can get real expensive with the other brands

I use Dexron 3 and one bottle of Lube Gard for standard pans and 2 for deep pans. The Lube Gard converts Dex 3 to a Dex 4 for a fraction of price.
