Truck dies after WOT runs

Buddy of mine was doin a burnout the other night and when he went to snatch 3rd gear his truck cut off. he messed with it most of the next day and eventually it started. the next night we were going to a friends place and after a wot 5th gear run the pedal went dead. pulled the injector lines loose and there is no fuel at all coming out of the pump. push the primer bulb and loosen the return line banjo bolt and fuel flows out. any help? Im hoping his IP is not fried. its a 160 pump thats turned up a bit
 
id check for any fuel leaks before the ip.. and yea what he said make sure the lift pumps still puttin pressure out!
 
Turned out that the rack in the ppump hung. sent the pump off and its f**ked
 
What do they get hung on? Only thing I ever remember seeing is when you do the rack plug thing they can jam up with the play in that guide.
