turning up pump

on my 92 12v i had a buddy come and turn up the pump to make more smoke/power. well i watched him do it, somewhat.

my buddy has a 91 and wanted ME to do it to his today, is this how its done?

he removed the cap, backed off the nut, turned the screw in the middle clockwise then re-tightened the nut and replaced the cap.

is this right?

yeah, thats right but take the screw all the way out and remove the collar on there. Remove all the burs on there from where the collar was tack wielded so you can get some more turns out of it. Then you will have to adjust the idle down. But watch out EGT's will get hot fast. Have fun!!!!!!

You can also rotate the fuel pin in the AFC housing for max travel.

Really watch the egts if that 91 is non intercooled!
