My 92 D250 has a open diff. Its going to be a street truck with a drag racing focus. I can get a brand new power loc for my 32 spline Dana 70u for $600. I can get a Detroit for about $100 more. 35 spline 70Hd true trac is also $700 but would require a switch to 35 spline axles...I think.
I'm tempted by the torsen true trac but don't know if 35 spline axles will be the fix that makes it work in a Dana 70u. I'm nervous I won't be able to tow with the Detroit. I'm also worried the powerloc is won't hold up for long behind a pumped up 6BT.
What do you guys think??
