99 FL60 mutt/conversion/repower project build

Friend has a 250hp 8.3 with different ESN/CPL and different piston numbers. so I'm assuming lower HP less CR hopefully wider bowl as well, really didn't want to drop all the way you mid 15:1 with marine piston
His has flame start on his Engine for cold starting aid... Horse traded for a long block 8.3 that has flame start as well..

Head came back decked new valve guides and seats, said seats where on the loose side.. valves where all straight.. feel like I dodge a bullet there..
found out the hard way that someone labeled a liner wrong.. new liner should be here tomorrow
Still waiting on news from the injectors

Seam to run pretty good.. pulled 10.27 running almost empty through Ohio PA and MD usually only place I hit 10+ mpg is running flat ground
Loaded yesterday

Been asked about some updates...

Bent the frame on the mutt.. putting new rails in and fixing the back of the cab where the rust holes are near the cab suspension..
Was Quoted ~$1000.00 to bend the framed straight again.. with the amount of pitting and holes that have been drilled into it... It just doesn't sound like a good idea...Bent the area underneath the blue job box/tool box possibly tweaked the crossmember the cab suspension mounts two.. PS rail is bent more than the DS and the gap isn't uniform between the two rails..

Well, the only upside to tearing stuff up is you can fix/rebuild it the way you want to.

Yeah and no equipment note and repairs are always 100% write-off..
though I was crossing my fingers it would last at least a year or two before I replaced them

The mutt been down that much, or just trying not to let anything sit too long?
