Sucks that John Boy is less than 2 hrs away and I don't think it's possible to get over there and watch him run. I need more fires. There are too many irons in this one.

The calculator puts him down on power....?
6.98 at 190?

I know the car is new, it has a ton of potential!!

We know .... Problem is , when we whack it with a bunch on power at the hit , Trans can't take the torque . We've had the best in the business helping us , they are all running for the brush . If we merge power in late down the track she will live , but when we try to pick up et on the short side it runs through it

More rpm!!

How is Dan keeping his transmissions alive when you and him have vertically identical engines? Are you trying to leave harder then jared does?

I was very curious of this myself. There has to be a difference. I wonder if you can't leave higher in the rpm where it's not making as much tq.

He hurts the Trans almost every pass & yes, we are hitting it hard .. I'm thinking that if we got the clutch to slip a little more on the initial hit it might quit killing the Trans.

That's how you adjust those clutches isn't it? Add slip ect ?

Will you just fix your Lenco, sell it to a gas guy, and then try a B&J?? John Carey told me he went through a bunch of Lencos too, then 2nd gear start in a four-speed B&J and it was problem solved.

It's old, but I also found this post from a Pro Mod dude who swears by B&J, thought it might motivate ya. Given all the testimonials, seems worth a shot.

We have run both Lenco and B n J and we will never use a Lenco again after running the B n J. If you buy one get the Triple Sprag. You will never again have to worry about rolling a Sprag again. Also if you ever have a chance put both internals next to each other you'll see why a B n J is the trans to go with. Even though the B n J is much stronger, it takes less horsepower to drive it. "Warren Johnson did tests on both a few years ago".The reason for this is it has less moving parts than a Lenco and it uses Torrington and ball bearings on every moving part. Plus it takes about a third the matainance and 30% less time to service than a Lenco. B n J also uses Billet cases, not cast crap.
Call Mike Strasburg at B n J, just to pick his brain. He completely bends over backwards for his customers. He also sells used B n J's
that have been freshened. We've gone 6.20's in a 2755lb Pro Mod using a B n J and never once had a problem in 8 years.
