Automatic questions

Dan likes to make sure his transmission fluid is boiling before he leaves the line.:hehe:

Well it isn't boiling, but it could probably boil water sometimes when I am done.

One thing to remember is that if your not making lots of boost at the line, then the convertor is not taking any power. Once a charger starts to build boost it doesn't take long to get it lit. Not much different than sitting in drive at a stop light.

Justin did you get any Scheid videos??? I am wanting to watch the complete 2.8 class! Qualifications and all.

Manual 1 is stronger, you are using the low/reverse band to help the overrunning clutch. My guess is you aren't shifting fast enough and it starts to defuel on you. It doesn't seem like you try very hard to spool the charger.
Here is some dedication!

Here is the truck today, with a much larger charger. Convertor selection is crucial.

I think you are the reason they use two sleds at Scheids now.:hehe: JK

how often do you rebuild converters and change fluid when it takes 90 seconds to spool?

what silver bullet version was that?

Tranny hasn't been touched in 3 years, other than some VB tweaks, and convertor changes. Remember power in = heat+ power out. If I am not putting much power in (low boost), then the heat will be less. I don't think the pan has been over 220 degrees. I run a good synthetic, actually when I do a convertor change, or VB tweak, if the fluid looks clean it goes back in the tranny with a new filter.

It was one of the early silver bullets. I think it might have been the first on a 12V. When did they come out with them? I think I got it in may of 06.

Yea, it was funny as the announcer runs down the placement as I am spooling the charger. IRP wasn't much better that year, I think I saw a video that someone actually stopped the video until it got closer to lighting. That was a sweet street driving convertor, but not good for building boost at the line!

Which converter was it? 15 blade? My previous converter was about perfect for the street I thought. For towing it may have been a little loose but for everyday driving with an aftermarket charger it was great. CumminsDrivers converter is pretty dang tight. Its perfect for towing.
