Truckers, lets see your rigs!

Got my new turbo housing all on and was about to put my exhaust pipe omg on and realized the flange is different than my holder was and my other Garrett

Guessing it is a Cat exhaust flange and I need to go back to that.

Started with this this morning.

Pulled the FF961 (3.5” drop, 12,000 lb) out and prepped an FF944 (5” drop, 13,200 lb) to go in.
Stripped them both down to the spindles, and am rebuilding the brakes etc.

Before on the left, after on the right.

Disassembled the spring packs, needle scaled between them, reassembled with the spacer and shock mount on top.

Replacing the shackles with shorter ones, and reworked the front hanger for more drop.

Stripped the hubs. Not sure if I’ll leave them raw or paint them white.

That would have been a much better accident in a European cabover.

I got this email today, think it might have been intended for those Volvo guys with their space age steel cabs?

Back on its wheels.

Before on the left, after on the right.

Waiting on the drag link and shocks yet.

Dropped it 4” at the fender lip. 2.625” of oil pan to axle clearance, and 2” of bumpstop to frame clearance.
New brakes, drums, bearings, seals, ubolts, and needle scaled between the leaves.

Front end is done for now.
Next up is to convert it to a tandem axle with a car hauler Airliner rear suspension.
Before on the left, after on the right.

Looks good. I suggest moving the tanks forward and making it a tandem without making it longer. Make it more euro approved.
