my mileage went down to

My mileage went down 1/2 mpg, but I switched from Mach 4's to Mach 6's at the same time and I think that is what dropped the mileage.

I had the big sticks on the HO pump to. I lost 3-4 mpg going to the SO pump.

HO pump cant provide enough fuel to the big sticks...SO pump can therefore more fuel is used.
i dunno if its true, but the theory sounds good.

Your theory sounds good because it's correct. An HO pump is only capable of ~180 RWHP from injectors. Dont care how big they are or who makes them. Plain and simple the HO pump cant supply the fuel for big sticks. On the flip side with smaller injectors you'll usually see more RWHP the advertised ex. 150hp injectors will usually get you close to 180hp. IF they are good injectors. I'm not talk'n jammer tips here.
To answer the original question you can swap them and yes it will work. I remember years ago arguing with people about this. All the nay sayers were people that had never tried it, but "read over on such and such site" that it wasnt possible. The only problem that I remember hearing of was someone's wouldn't rev as high as before. Say if you had an edge comp and could get 3600 before it was now defueling at 2800. Not sure what ever came of that.
