Truckers, lets see your rigs!

The thing is, I can always fudge two consecutive hours off somewhere in my day, and the fact that KeepTruckin won't let me do it even though it is a perfectly legal way to operate pisses me off

8/2 splits work greatly to my advantage, the fact that I can't do them is bothering me

Yes, what would you like to know?

Are they any decent? One I'm looking at has deck removed and needs work. Has crossmember spaced at 30" apart which is a little further than our 55 ton. This is a 89' 50 ton hydraulic that used to have a power pad but was taken out and replaced with lines for wet kit. Someone torched the stinger off as well. Has good arc to the frame still. I can post some pics if you can help me out in what you think.

My electronic is the same as paper except his split.

If you say so

Heard that!

Can you stop an rewrite the last two weeks? Lol

I like the Talberts. But that's the only lowboy I've ever had behind me. Can't think of a single complaint about it.

Edit: thinking about it I've used load kings too. Like them both.

Whew......that gal looks like she's been rode hard and put away wet! Talbert's are a great quality lowboy but there's one thing that really annoys me about them, if you don't back into them damn near EXACTLY the same way you unhooked, the locking pin is a bish to get locked back in, at least that's how it is with the 75 ton I've dealt with

Really? Never had that issue. Even on sh1tty job sites

It could just be unique to the one I've run, but that's really the only thing I don't like about it. The cozad we used to have is a breeze to hook back up so that's what I'm comparing to.

While someone hasn't used the proper care around it, it hasn't been overloaded a pile because it still has a good arc to it and I don't see any sign or damage just over wear from maybe not enough care when loading or whatever. Our load king is almost the same for looking just uses an air pot for the pin actuation. But I usually back up without issue of pinning up.

Possibly. I've always just lined the outside of the truck fender up with the inside of the rail (metal to wood) and it locks in every time. Only time I had an issue, the ground was really uneven, chock of wood fixed that. Oh and people twisting the machine on the swing outs previously. Bastards, making me need a mini sledge

I know how to do that with all but one of them, but it adds 3+ hours to my trip

If you get loaded heavy then they need to compensate for you to go around the scales, if you are legal weight and the truck/trailer is in good shape then you shouldnt have to worry.

Being heavy isn't my problem usually, even if that were the case I'm paid mileage so the extra distance is no big. My issue is wanting to leave places earlier and drive more hours than my logbook says I can, and doing the 8/2 split works out better for that. Haha
