94 12 valve build

Taillights

Ordered all the parts to convert it to the 98-99 hd steering, and a set of spicer ball joints.

Looks good with the leveling kit on it.

Got any more pics of your tail lights set up and what you used

It had some aftermarket clear lights on it when I bought it, I just tinted them one night in the garage. Looks good in my opinion with all the other lenses tinted and 20% all around. Just need to get rid of those damn west coast mirrors. :nail:

Here's what the tail lights looked before tint

Also if you are buying a 2nd gen in the rust belt look for frame rot where the sway bar mounts. Mine was rusted out pretty good there, spent a few hours with the torch and welder and had it good as new.

I think getting rid of those big ugly mirrors will be a big step forward. LOL

Decide to ditch the visor soon when I paint it, going to probably get a set of 3rd gen recon smoked cab lights. That and some tow mirrors will make one hell of a difference.

Anyhow changed the ball joints and swapped the steering over to the 98-99 hd setup. Ball joints suck to change. :bang

A big **** you goes to these four bastards

Much better

Getting these wheels and tires off my buddy here in about a week, I think they'll look sick on my second gen. 315/75-17s on 3rd gen wheels. :rockwoot:

Thats his truck with the tires/wheels I'm getting on it. Nice rig, 2012 6.7 six speed deleted with a smarty tuner.

Seeing how it looks on 35s, kinda like it. Too bad these tires are completely bald.

This visor is kinda growing on me now, don't know if cab lights will look any better.

My great grandfather made it, he used to work on the rail roads back in the day.

It's an invaluable tool for beating the ever living crap out of stuff, like changing ball joints.

That's awesome!

A cool piece of family history right there:Cheer:

Been kicking around the idea of orange for the truck.

I like the color on this truck, going to stop down at the autobody supply place tomorrow and try to pick out a nice orange that won't break the bank.

That is a nice orange but a little too bright for me and my truck. But I had a buddy of mine do his truck in the burnt chevy orange and it looked fantastic

Keep it red if you don't want to be annoyed forever. Looking back I shoulda kept my truck the original color but I'm getting along with blue just fine.

X2 on ditching the visor. On my red 2wd 95 a couple years of go the sheet metal around the bolt holes to where the visor bolted to the top of the cab began to crack. Long story short.. once the metal cracked all the way around the bolt hole there was a 3 1/2 inch hole in the top of my cab because of that pos. Oh not to mention $1100 to get that fixed and fill in the rest of the holes and paint the top of the cab and the hood (had some clear coat peeling and since it was at the shop, why not).

The red is a ****ty enamel paint job, might as well go with a nice color since I'm painting it.

And it's going to be a correct color change, door jambs, inside of the doors and fenders, parts of the engine compartment you can see. Should come out good.

I still sometimes get annoyed with the multi color I have in a few areas (one door is green and they only painted around the door cover) its a small annoyance that will be pretty darn hard to reverse.
