99 FL60 mutt/conversion/repower project build

All I have on hand is a Spicer 7sp and a RT 8609, when I asked Weller if they where worth anything.. they said 1-200 each.

Had a guy shoot me a PM on FB yesterday about a used Rockwell/meritor 13sp they got and willing to part ways with.. currently attached to a 550hp cat... Waiting to hear back about the model number..
they(Rockwell/meritor) seam to have an extremely small share of the manual transmission market and not common.. I'm having to look harder to find gear ratio setups for meritor and model numbers as well compared to Eaton/Fuller transmission information.

While waiting to my friend and Chris..

Looking at/for used transmission, RTLO12913A, RTLO14913A, RTLO16913A

Part of me doesn't really want to chance it with a used at least from an un known vendor

Good Dale's is almost matching Vander haags price of $5250, with $5500 including yoke, a #2 bell housing ,forward control shift plate and shift tower..
2 year warranty unlimited miles.

Call frieghtliner run VIN, truck should have a 1710 or 5-675x half round..

Pull u-joint on diff... Cleaned yoke ears of grease etc
Measurements
Cap...1.938"
Cross 6.1875-6.2187 or 3/16-7/32"
...****...
1760 is 1.938/7"
1810 is 1.938/7.547

Gues I need to see what I can get for pinion yoke for this RS145-120

So now convert everything to down to 1710 or up to 1760..based on what yoke I can get... either way drive shaft got alot more expensive

Pretty much forced to buy reman.

The used one where either high mileage or gone..
Paid 5800 for everything listed.. wasn't thinking and should've tried to get the shifter tower in as well. But that's another 200-250 ish
The 24m warranty makes me little more warm and fuzzy about having it sit vs 12m

Hopefully next couple weeks I'll be able to start stripping the white one.. and making 2 in to 1 and retiring 1

I have an on the road date goal of by 12/17/17..
Clutch, radiator, fan clutch, diff gears, driveshaft, gauges, tires, brake lines are the major things that need done or aquired

Afaik jory hasn't seen this thread and at minimum hasn't posted in it
His project been going on for at least 2 years now

Trying to dodge the mandated E logs for newer trucks?
 
Might need new lift after this... It's not happy, was talking pretty good when I lifted it up figured it's 2-2500lbs easy
. When together it weighed 3500lb with 2 11/22.5 steels on .. slip frame goes to about 6" forward of the rear fuel tank strap..

I forget, what suspension you swapping in?
....What happened to that tank in the background? Looks like it imploded, like the myth busters rail car.
