Truckers, lets see your rigs!

Woukdn't the 65 square feet of perfectly flat surface area that make up the front of a cab over fill the fuel mileage long before changing the bumper will hurt you?

Oh I know I'm just making fun of the unlimited douchebaggery of some people on another forum. There are those that believe a 379 or a W900L pulling a RGN with a bulldozer getting 4mpg is caused by the external air cleaners or the huge radiator and not the load it's pulling! LOL

The few times that truck was out on the road it saw high 5s and low 6s. It prolly won't see 1000 miles a year with what I will be doing with it.

Btw nice Coe. They're my personal favorites. Got one myself, just for kicks.

What site are you guys talking about?

The truckers report, there are some funny ones over there.

Thanks for the compliment, we have an almost identical twin sitting in the barn we have yet to start in on, it needs quite a bit done just to get it mobile, the guy that had it just let it go to hell.

I think I'm going to try and work on polishing out the paint this coming weekend to see if it will even clean up, then the back wheels are coming off since I have to change rubber and I will start the polishing process on them. I don't know if I have the patience for all of this stuff.

added a couple stickers to go along with my added power today, put my pittsburge power box on and a ht4c/b hybrid turbo.. the stock ht60 was 2 7/8 compressure and 3.2 ex with a dual entry 27cm housing. the new ht4c/b is 3.25 compressure and 3.25 ex with single entry 26 housing.. doesnt jake as good but i was told that..

only ran a little bit today on the way home.. im kinda skeered of it lol really.. so i ran on 4 for a couple miles and a few stop signs.. made 31psi pretty easy, the box doesnt add power until 2psi so if you had it floored it would smoke a bit, not much but you could see it in the mirror(trying to see how much it would smoke too).. it would start to spin a bit over bumps at some descent speeds that come fast at only 16k.. then i turned it down to 3 and drove it that way the rest.. only made 29psi that way but still runs pretting good. had one stretch that saw 1000 degrees.. ill know what its really about tomorrow i have a load to fresno, i reset the mileage also so we will see for real how it drive with a load and what happens with mileage..

Cool! Don't forget to post up your results, I don't know anyone that's run the box and I'm real curious how it works for you.

I have never seen a HT4 that has the bolt on comp cover, that is neat. The 3 we have running around take a clamp, as well as my HT80.

Does that turbo have a cummins part number on it anywhere?

its acctually a 3b with a 4c comp wheel..
well im not in love with the turbo.. has lots of top end but lacks in spoolup and has almost no jaking.. things i had been told and feared.. ill be exploring other options as far as turbo go..
the box works.. used level 1 for most of the loaded trip down with 48k on the trailer still averaged 6.23 on the way down and 7.62 for the total trip.. we deadhead back.. used level 3 and 4 most of the way back.. im curious to see what the stock ht60 would do for mileage. i might just throw it back on to see..

I would think that if it still has the 3B exhaust wheel in it that there are quite a few housing choices for you. I know that exh housing looks different from the 3B housings I have seen as well.

I would think a 32cm would work well being that is what is used on most stock 400 big cams.

I don't see how the turbo has anything to do with Jake power. The Jake actuates the valves just before tdc and dumps compression to exhaust. No bearing on what turbo is on there.

When you turn on your engine brake you basically turn the engine into a giant air compressor, when my engine brake is full on I'm pushing 42-45 pounds of boost
