A Decade In Review Were Are They Now ??

does anyone remember an old p-pump guru by the name of Joey Pruett? he got me into it around 02' when he modded my dads 98' 12v, and I bought my 01' in 04'!

the guy is like on drugs now or something

600 in 2001 ... no way . sorry *bdh*

I'll see if I can find the dyno sheet... at the very least it was early 02 since it was on the wall of the local shop I used back then after I bought my truck. I think in was at Thunder in Muncie possibly? I'll find out... I think it was 608hp actually.

For sure on that one.

It was in 02 or 03. Mustang Muscle out off of Gravois Rd? I spent a night or two there with Homeyer and the "Missouri Madman"!

Not sure where it was at, but I'm pretty positive it wasn't any later than 02 since thats the year I bought my truck and started hanging out at MCS. I'll call Keith today and ask if he still has it. I have Ray's cell number, but I don't know him well enough to just call him out of the blue, lol. Matter of fact, he may havve been running a B1 turbo then... I know it wasn't the HX40 he popped :D

And he wasn't running a Smarty, so is that the reason for the hate Bob?

Just to clear this up Rays made his dyno run on 9/2/04. The truck made 604.6hp 1173.7 ft-lbs. For the record he didnt use a smarty but he DID use a MADS ecm. I can try and post pictures later of the dyno sheet.
Hope that clears everything up.

I know who popped the hx40!:bang 'Ol Whitey was on her way to a good run that day. I don't think Bob was hating on Ray. Just doubting the year that it happened.

Thnaks for the info Chris, Guess I was wrong on the date.:bang And I knew Bob wasn't hating on Ray, just messing around :D 604 was still pretty good for a VP truck in 2004, but enough hijacking!

It was my under standing John Russin had a single turbo 24V that was scootin right along back in 01-02 high 11's on fuel maybe cant remember.

09/2004 is off from 2001. :poke: I remember the early 2000-2001 days when edge was just starting out. very exciting times back then for electronics :Cheer:

Pretty interesting to go back and look at these.

I went to the very first Bullydog Dog Days of Summer event. They had their "mister universe" duramax... The shirt is getting hard to read, but I think it says something like 743 horsepower.. Which was just unheard of around here.

The winner this year did what.. Almost double that? Crazy.

Awesome! Ive known jason bekter all my life he lives about 2 miles from where i live. I remember ridin in that red truck when i was 8 or so, me and my brother were sitting on the floor in the back an my dad an jason were in the front. I couldnt understand why it didnt have rear seats. Lol. I knew it was fast but 808 hp!!!!

I remember my first time at Thunder in Muncie 01 or 02, and a black 12v owned by Larry Crawford put up some good numbers.
