Sheid Diesel Rules 2010????

that weight box was $132.00 to build $5.45 for a can on black paint and a friend with a sticker machine...lol budget build

In Travis Defense your Avatar looks like a Ford, I had to look twice to confirm the Dodge.

I think what Travis is trying to Imply is that we see the same thread every year complaining about the rules, No different than anyone complaining about the Organization rules that we get at the start of every season. The SDX rules have been in place for several years now. Their field, their ball, their rules. Like it or not that is the way it is. SDX is one of the biggest pulls in the country right now for the Diesel trucks. It's also the biggest recognition that you can get for winning a pull. So meet their rules come and pull and carry the honor home with you.

I like scheid and will continue to go there even if it cost me more money.. im only complaining about the blanket... I dont understand why one is needed for the 2.6 street class, unless it is a insurance thing?

I guess I should say unless you are turning over 4500rpm's I see no need for all the trans safety equipment... I dont see a diff. in 4000-4500 but everyone elses rules state untill 4500 rpm you dont need the safety equipment...

I can understand your frustrations. I don't agree with all of their rules, but I think Safety is one of the biggest reasons.

Just think of it this way, if you ever decide to step up to 2.8 or 3.0 that's one less thing you'll have to have.

I will also add this.

I've had people try to argue with me about air shut offs on a CR truck not being needed on a them, that the key turning off with kill the truck.

Barry (nail it on here) will tell you that a CR can and will run away from you. the conditions have to be damn near perfect, but it can and has happened.

It is not mandatory that you have to attend these events........It has always been on a voluntary basis. These are the same rules used at the TS Outlaw event and no one failed tech........Two choices can be made here, Either follow the rules....Or don't pull. It isn't really that hard of a decision.

I pulled 2.6 at TS this year with my water tank out front they told me it was fine since it was purpose built, that they just didnt want guys straping coleman coolers out there that would probly fall off. schieds tech people are not as bad as what you guys think

I agree I have talked to Joe and Doug several times about rules and they are very nice to talk to. They are not your average brush pull techs. they know there stuff.

So are you trying to say that you ARE ALLOWED TO HAVE YOUR TANKS OUT FRONT AT SCHEID AS LONG AS THEY ARE LEGIT AND PASS.
