Questions about Garmon's race

I'm not building a truck for this, but have been wondering if the firewall has to remain in the stock location.

I thoguht I saw it mentioned in the other thread, btu I could be wrong. And quite frankly, I'm going to crawl through it to find what may not be there.

Thanks.

The rules say OEM restraints must be in place and used. I am assuming an up to date harness will be ok too? Just wanna be sure.

So if I showed up to the event (with, let say, 80 trucks) with $500 in hand, I can race?

Just asking. There might be a atom's chance I could be there.

If we win a race and run under 11.49 with no cage then we are out?

Im a little unclear on the turbo rules and i dont know chit about bushings since im not a sled puller. I currently have a 75mm single and was going to bolt a 80mm up for a couple up coming events..... i can bush a 80mm?

I think this is great guys and everything seems pretty straight forward.

u can not bush a turbo for this race. to run a big charger, u have to have a race cover machined to a 2.6 inducer, and the compressor wheel must protrude 1/8 inch

when they first announced the idea, they werent for sure which way they were going to go. here is the turbo rule

Turbocharger:
The vehicle is limited to a 2.6 inducer bore single turbocharger. The compressor wheel must protrude into a 2.6” bore for 1/8”. The inlet will be measured using a 2.65 inch plug the plug must not be able to enter the inducer bore. A stock map width enhancement (MWE) groove is allowed. No MWE groove will be allowed that has a width greater than .200”. All provisions allowing air into the wheel other than via the bore and the MWE groove are prohibited. The vehicle driver will be responsible for making compressor wheel accessible for tech personal to measure bore and be able to inspect compressor wheel.

Ford 6.4L Motor Only: STOCK FORD unmodified 6.4 TURBOS ARE ALLOWED

if you want i might allow some campers in my cow pastures about 15 mi east of the track...maybe....

Rules and tech

I would like to know how tech on the turbo's and with the truck in general are going to work? I really want to run this event but fill like there will be questionable things going on with some trucks. It would be easy to put a little nitrous (hidden) on a truck and get by with it. Now before people start flamming me i'm just affraid it will happen. With this big of payout there will be all kinds of things going on! If you don't think so your not being real. That's why I like nitrous classes, you don't have to wonder. If you get beat you just didn't bring enough. Nobody has said anything about this, I just don't want a big blowup at the event. I really like the no nitrous rules, I just want to be on a level playing field. Jeff

Back to 3rd grade I suggest :poke:

He is right Greg, some have added more money to the pot. Engineered Diesel is paying 500.00 each day for the fastest ET. Southbend is sponsoring 250.00 each day for highest MPH. I might have that backwards :lolly: but you get the idea. I'm trying to get shops and vendor's to donate products that I can raffle off for Breast Cancer Awareness. I'm not doing real well with that project just yet. Times are tough in our business, but I am sure they will come around before race day. Gary
