I installed the update and made a few passes. I no longer have the problem during the shift. I worked my way from a HL Timing level of 10, and worked up to 30, and it work great. No indication of any kind of problem after the shift. I stopped at 30 until I get it on a dyno (hopefully tomorrow).

It pulls unbeliveablely hard from 2900 rpm to 3600 (my rpm at the end of the 1/4 mile).

Great news Paul!!!

I've not updated yet due to moving and obviously my truck is still down..But I can't wait to try it.

Other than the wierd delay after shifts, it was great... Looks like the update is even better..

I'm sure they want to sell it to you just about as bad as you want to try it... I know they will post just as soon as they can... I know they aren't holding it back simply just to piss you off.... It will be soon I'm sure.
 
This is the final release before production. I still consider this to be an "beta" software. I'll wait some time for the results and opinions from the beta testers to flow in. THEN and only then will I release this product to the market.

Sure enough, I want to sell the SSR but not as bad as I want it to perform flawless from day one.

Will the ssr software work on the old non-pod smarty? Or do we need to buy a new one?
What about the rpms? Will the '07 still have the defuel at 3800?

It's my understanding that it will be a whole new "box"

Guess I better get off my butt and DL the SSR update tonight and see how well it plays with my truck.
 
can anybody here tell me why the deleted my post from yesterday..it was just a question..i also noticed they deleted tritons posts..all he said is that he was having the problem for years now, before anybody knew what it was at all...if marco cant answer a simple question like the one i asked yesterday without some mod deleting posts...i gotta really wonder why..jeeez i even said thank you at the end of it...

Come on beta testers, upload the most recent update and see how it is!! Hopefully there isn't anymore problems so the rest of us can get the SSR within a few weeks, hopefully! Post your results please!
 
Havent got any test time with the SSR yet. We are going to the track friday night and hopefully again on sunday. Gonna get as many passes in as possible and I will post up.

Swole, if you hear anything on that dyno time, let me know. I'm ready whenever.

you're not going to. the SSR will be sold as a different unit. Would you invest TWO YEARS of your time into something and then just give it away? :confused:

you act as if your current Smarty is some worthless piece of junk with no value at all.

I mean, they've made a lot of nice improvements on the new Dodge trucks... I should be able to go down to the dealer and just have them upgrade it to a new one for free, right? :confused:

Marco did answer you... See below... I posted to you about your previous post and then Marco came right in to explain the best he could.. All he's trying to do is make SURE that it's the Best it can be..!

And Forrest - I don't think he's wanting it for Free, just impatient about when he can get his hands on it...
 
he said when can us poor Smarty owners get the software... he didn't say when can I buy a new SSR? That question has already been answered. (As has his question)

they are taking pre-orders, they will be released as soon as the software is as close to perfect as possible (as always with Smarty)

it is going to be a new programmer, it will not be a software upgrade for previous generation Smartys, there is no trade-in/upgrade plan.

All of this has been answered already! LOL
 
Probably lots of people who would buy your used Smarty too if you sold it for SSR bif
