SSR beta testers...lets talk

David,
just go onto the FAQ page on our websit. Scroll down a bit... there are two vids that explain everything in great detail. That should help ya.

Marco

Marco,

I've never updated a Smarty from a computer...Mr. Wagner loaded my old TNT/R for me when my truck was down at one point.

Is there something I need to load into my computer / laptop as a program and then try to update it?

You or someone can just pm me the answer or link I guess... Sorry, I'm just not the best with computers..Other than the basics.

Thanks

Navigate away from freedonutfinder.com, and that should help.....

And then... a guy that can post tens of videos on here during a certain weekend from his phone can surely update a stupid Smarty! :hehe:

with every one saying how smooth ssr is marco did you go in to the ecm and smooth out and blend the maps or r they still the stock maps that have been modifiled just like the tntr tune ?

Love the update. Nice and smooth across the board.
Played with several "tunes" and the only hiccup I had was when I swapped my high and low level duration settings on accident. I wondered why it was so smokey down low. LOL

Very good news!

Man it sux having my truck down still...

Some of us don't want a free unit, though it would be rather awesome, we just want one. When and where? Anymore idea of public release? R file is just not cutting it anymore.

Didnt get a chance to load SSR today. They wouldnt let me make anymore passes. I think the guy in the blown big block was upset when i ran him down in a 7000lb diesel. LOL Went 6.96 @ 97mph with 1.58 60ft running the TNTR. So we're going tomorrow to run the SSR to see if we can find some gains.

I did find some insane fuel mileage with the SSR on my megacab though. 24.3 mpg in town.

Hopefully I can offer some better info tomorrow.

Last year I did some initial testing with the SSR on the drag truck, I can't tell you how impressed I was with my 60 foot times, I was able to use the SSR as a Two step for launching. I dialed it down in duration and timing to spool my big single charger. It would come up against the transbrake and sit there until I hit it. Man did it pull like crazy.

I have now switched from a 03-04 ecm to a 06 ecm in order to get more fuel from it. Will be at the track in 10 days to see how it launches now.

Will try and make the redding race in May also.

Malcolm

You can swap out ECMs that easliy?? Can I put a 06 ECM in my 04?

I run the cummins as a stand alone. The transmission is shifted by a pcs controller. I had to re wire the the engine with a 06 harness valve cover and a couple of sensors that are different. Once the engine ECM was powered up it still needed to be flashed to a manual transmission. Bob Wagner wrote me a recovery file to flash the ECM. Now it would start and run on a stock tune. I then loaded the SSR. I can't wait to run this animal way different beast. I have high hopes thanks to the SSR. Look for some record setting prostreet times this year.

Thanks again to Bob and Marco.

DANG Ash!!

Thats a personal best, right??

Was that on the Squeeze or Fuel only?

You must have found something!! That leaps and bounds above what I've seen you do before....

You must have lost some weight too! Cause that MPH is consistant with your old 1/8 mile right?

Had 2 officers here for a demo recently and i was giving one of them a bad time about the 2 cups of coffee in the cup holders and small box of donuts on the console. He pulled out a donut with white frosting and coconut, took out his handgun , threw the donut into the air and fired. He caught it in his left hand and held it up for me to see that he had shot through the hole. There wasn't a mark on it. He then told me that it was a practice technique borrowed from William Tell. When the target is place on a loved one, you can't afford to miss.
