powerbraking...

So is there any tables that controll the torque management, or are we waiting on that for an upcoming release?

I know how to do a burnout, thanks for the tips though. Do any of you have a dually? Try to do a burnout on a dually on dry pavement with no access to torque management, it doesnt work. I dont do burnouts, nor do I care to, but the point is that there is a definate lack of off idle power till the truck starts moving out and I was just wondering from those that know if there was anything that I was missing.

Thanks to the helpfull replies.

I suspect some of is probably the stock TC, some of it is programming. Look under main event injection quantity at the torque limiter and boost limiter tables. What do they say?

Tried changing both the boost limiter and torque limiter to max values, no better at all. I will pull up to about 2200, then it just hits a wall and wont pull any more. I agree, the stock trans and t/c are not the best for this, but come on, this has to be able to be bypassed. Once the truck is moving a little, it will blow the tires off at low speed.

You could test by rescaling the {E3255} Boost Pressure, Voltage to Pressure Conversion upper axis. That would completely throw off any boost pressure referenced tables, but it would give you a test to see if the boost sensor is causing it.

Our stock 1 ton truck will shread 285's on a tow tune if desired.

Wait... your trying to get your stock transmission in your truck to do a burnout?

Do you want to break something?

i mentioned before....there are transmission protect settings we dont have access to yet that will limit your fueling when the truck is not moving (they also defuel your engine to a certain degree during shifts if you have an auto.). You can log this and see when it activates.

you can program more fuel in to overide this to a certain extent, but it will still activate regardless.

When i had my Smarty and turned this off i could roast the tires with a blip of the throttle, I think the EFI live guys have this on high priority....

Thanks for the info, good stuff.

I hope that they do have the torque management on high priority, would be nice to have a little more right at the bottom.

Rob, both of your tunes will not break my truck loose, but I think it has more to do with being a dually than anyting.

:hehe::hehe::hehe::hehe:please stop disrespecting duallies or blaming them cause you don't know how to properly display tire shredding abilities..........

Put your fire suit on pal.

You just insulted and alienated many extremely knowledgeable people who have been on this forum and in the diesel world for god knows how long.

Blood in the water..

my standard response here would be to say, had you worded the original question differently, you would have gotten a different response.

But i'm in a bad mood. so GFYS
