Bullseye powers $10,000 Dollar BatMo Challenge

Action*

This is an all out head to head Dyno Competition to see who has the better turbo. Turbo must be a Borg Warner Based Unit for this competition

Tune will remain unchanged, unless added fuel is necessary to raise the EGT’s to the level of the other turbo tested

Diesel Fuel Only, no nitrous, propane or water injection

Test will be MM for MM and only the CHRA and cover will be swapped

Single turbos only, no compound systems

No Clips, Bushings, or MAP enhancements typically found in a sled pulling charger

Must be a Minimum of 10 trucks and a Maximum of 20 trucks

$100 entry fee is non refundable

$500 payout if you can beat the BatMo Charger in average HP over the optimum RPM range of your dyno run. Torque will be used in the event of a tie

Entries must be submitted 7 days prior to the event date. Any truck entered two times or more for the purpose of running more than one size charger will pay the $100.00 entry fee per entry and must submit a tech sheet per entry for that same vehicle.

Tech sheets must be filled out and emailed to No later than 11/10/2012.

Trucks will be driven only by the dyno operator.

Turbo swaps will be closely supervised by the dyno tech or techs and the dyno techs ruling on any infraction or interpretation on rules is final.

If your truck shows up at the dyno with anything other that what is specified on your registration form you will be disqualified

If for any reason your truck is disqualified no entry fees will be reimbursed since your dyno position was reserved.

All participants including BEP will have the option for 1 “mulligan” for example if you blow an intercooler boot, turbo or if any other quick repair can be made and another dyno pull can be made within 15 minutes which will be the maximum time frame allowed to make the repair, if the truck is still strapped to the dyno and if it must be removed then 45 minutes will be allotted or until the next truck has made its pull and the dyno is ready, whichever comes first.

No Hood Stacks allowed!

The Dyno Challenge will be held at Danville Performance on Saturday November 17th at 8am.

Email Wild Bill
for information, registration forms, tech questios.

Will a Batmocrap charger live through a dyno pull?
If y'all have 10 large to put on a competition why can't you replace the chargers that are popping after 1/4 mile of drive time?

Methinks Borg Warner has someone's panties in a bunch...

I think putting that money toward helping cover rebuild costs where the customers had failures in less than 5k miles would be of better use, and reflect more positively on the manufacturer...

Couldn't have said it better myself....would love an answer on this Bill :poke:

While the challenge is all good fun, there is no way it should be run at one company or the others dealer. It must be done at an independent not affiliated with either company to make sure the results are correct.

"Tune will remain unchanged, unless added fuel is necessary to raise the EGT’s to the level of the other turbo tested

So who and what will be used to qualify if the fuel is to be changed? A simple EGT gauge isn't going to cut it for this type of a test.

Diesel Fuel Only, no nitrous, propane or water injection

Test will be MM for MM and only the CHRA and cover will be swapped

If your testing compressor wheels why is the cover being changed? There are advantages to be found in compressor covers and most already know that.

Single turbos only, no compound systems

No Clips, Bushings, or MAP enhancements typically found in a sled pulling charger

Again changing the cover allows this to be in one cover and not the other. IF your going to test compressor wheel design use the same cover for both test, ONLY change one part and that's it

Must be a Minimum of 10 trucks and a Maximum of 20 trucks

$100 entry fee is non refundable

Who sets the optimum RPM range for each truck?

So is this a complete turbocharger test or a compressor wheel test? Last I knew Bullseye did not make turbochargers, they made compressor wheels that got added to other manufactures turbochargers. Who wins the $10,000 claim here as all I see is $100 to enter and $500 if Bullseye loses on that truck so you can only win $400 and 20 *400 is only $8000?

One other thing is if you blow a truck engine up while testing your BatMo wheel You are going to cover the cost to rebuild the truck owners engine right?

I don't know??? Will a PTE charger contain an exploding turbine wheel without coming through the firewall without taking your foot off?

The way I see it , this is a put up or shut up thing . From most of Comments so far sound's like your Assuming BEP will Have to Pay some $$$ out . You beat the BAT you get $$$$ . It doesn't get much more simple . Back to back same day same Dyno lots of Witnesses around. Doesn't get better than that . Single turbo for easy turbo change times it is a one day thing . Bullseye sales a turbo with there cover when you buy one . Power is power , it does or does not That's the test . The rules are clear . Its fun the talk smack and all ...........Now how many of you think you have a the ball bearings to play ?????????

Well my rig and the instrumentation would be the ticket for weeding out the bullchit, but the distance here puts it out of the question. I'd bite on running a third party test on my truck if the party's in question sent the goods.

Once again.... The 100 bucks is to cover the use of the dyno at Danville.
