OK We have been getting some colder days up here, So I decided to do a test. I have not posted here in a long time and I know there are some 7.3 guys here. So here goes.
First off the pickup has not been started for about one week. I did not have it plugged in. This start up is a COLD start.
What you will see in the video is I cycled the glow plugs for three wait to start
cycles. As the Title says it is -18 F below zero when I took the video. It had been right on -20 BUT by the time I got out there it had warmed up a little.
This is with 300/200 injectors, E-fuel, dual HPOPs, The tunes are my tunes.
The oil is Rotella T6 5-40. It has right at 3000 maybe a little more miles on the current oil.
I apologize for not getting any videos of the tail pipe after start up. I ran out of card space right after it started.
O take a look at the volt meter. I think it might be time for new battery's. These battery's are a little over 5 years old.
Just a look at what a "old" school engine can do with bigger injectors.
