silver bullet on 12 valve

how about cruising temps and just running up to speed.

The highest I have seen was 1000 ... pulling a hill in 5th staying at a steady 1/4 thottle, and about 2psi of boost.

Cruising around depends on what gear, and etc. Still trying to break everything in, and re-learn to drive the truck again

what kind of boost does it cary at say 70 MPH, how fast does does it respond at about 55 or so?

At 70mph Im right around 5psi ... 10 at times, again depending on the road, and throttle conditions.

As far as responding at 55 ... Again I havn't gone much over 1/4 throttle yet, but it responds very well so far. I honestly was suspecting it to be much laggier than it is

ANYBODY here expierence governor bounce with haisley's 5k's? Garmons? those are the only 5'ks i think i would go with. i can imagine these bosch 4k's doing it worse.

wonder how it would be on an auto with 89% stall? people say you cant tow with lazer cuts....but I do. lazer cuts are only hotter at WOT...at least on my truck. People say you cant tow with a 66...wonder if I could? only 7K lbs...

7k? Heck I crossed the scales at 22,000 the other day with my setup, and will probably try to do th same thing with the silver bullet when I get it. I just take her esy when towing and don't get in a hurry.

just take her easy? more like keep her wound up above 2500rpm at all times

don't get me wrong, I'm hoping it works out well for you, but I wouldn't sell your 62mm before you try towing w/ the bullet first!

where my sps62 would smack around 2200-2300, the bullet would smack at like 2800-3000

you're gonna have to keep it wound up pretty tight to gross 22k... especially on a 12v at only 16* timing.

I would have agree, this turbo I am running is a little bigger than a SB66 and the most I would be able to pull is maybe 5k or so, and I would have to take 'er easy getting to speed. Now if I had a cam and maybe a couple other goodies it might be a smidge different...

You might be best off with twins bro...

I have Haisleys 5k and their pretty darn smooth, Smoother than some Schied 5ks I've ridden in and smoother than the standard 4ks everybody runs. It's very linier throughout the pedal unlike the 4ks

Towing with a silver bullet is fine but you do have to adjust. We do it all the time hauling trucks and construction equipment. If you try to accelerate like you have no trailer, it is going to get warm until you get it cruising. My brothers truck has 3.55 gears, so the worst towing mph is 60. Its fine up to there, trick to get to 65, after that, set the cruise at 70-75 and let it go.
My truck has a 71mm hx50 with a 17cm housing. Last week i towed 25,000 lbs worth of chemicles on a a gooseneck. Truck weighs 7,800 and trailer about 9,000. Plenty of power cruising down interstate at 65 mph runnning 1100-1200* and 25 lbs boost. The biggest problem is braking power i think. Oh and i run twin electric fans, but it keeps burning the snowplow selanoids up so i was towing with no fans. The hottest it got when taking off was 195* after cruising, 175*. But we live in central Illinois on flat ground. If you live in the hills and hollers all the time, these setups probably wouldnt work out so well. Tim

Willy, what kind of egt's are you seeing now? I can tell you my 66mm still has 1800+ egts and you might outfuel me with your DDP comps. Not sure how much reduction in egts you need, but its still gonna get hot.

have you dyno'd the 022's against the stock 181's?

I ran DDP4's w/ a 215 pump against the stock rack stop and couldn't get much over 1400* w/ the SB66

I ran flows with the SB and saw 1850* :evil Charger was sweet although I only liked the rubber part when the charger lit but O well, it is gone.

rubber part?

those flows are a lot dirtier than DDP4's, but I'm not sure how they compare to the DDP comps... may be pretty similar

I DID have a ported head, so

I havent, but I will one of these days. It picked up some power according to the butt dyno but not a ton. Smoke however, lots of that unfortunately. I could clean up the 181's at 55 psi, but the 022's stop traffic even at 60 psi. But even the 181's would touch 1800.
