MY p-pump swap/ motor rebuild pics...

What size s400 did you go with? I bought the s400sx which is a 71/74 with with a 1.10 t4 housing. I actually wanted a little bigger turbin wheel, but since this is a factory turbo, i can buy different size housings right of the shelf. I also have the cummins elbow and im waiting on the PDI t4 manifold to come in so i can put it all together. Im sure im going to have to cut the intercooler piping to make it all fit right. Tim

I'm just running a s465... I think the specs are 65/71? With a .9 AR exhaust housing... and like you I kept it stock, Tempted to get a 1.0 exhuast housing though incase I think I need a little extra flow. I think they are only about $125 new.

I am, I am getting a second compressor cover made with a bushing welded in it and ground back down so it looks like it was meant to be ya know. If these guys can spend 2 grand to run a 3.0 charger in the 2.6 class, then i can spend $1000, buy essentially the same charger, bushing the housing and have the same thing they got with out lining somebody elses pockets. If they dq me somewhere, then i will just pull 2.8 if not, then im money ahead.
 
J-Rod Hows your build going. I had another setback when i bought a ats t4 manifold off of a a menber here and one it had a crack in it, two it was not t4 it was the first edition widemouth which would still work except that the holes were drilled for h2e which is a touch bigger (1/2 hole at all four corners) so i couldnt eeven redrill it to fit. Now i have a pdi t4 on and its sweet. Turbo is bolted up and trying to get the tubes cut to fit.

Yours is a 65/74. Never seen a t4 turbine housing for $125.

Be careful I know some of the organizations are not allowing the welded bushed housings. TS shouldn't have allowed them, but I think several got by running them.
 
I wont say any names but my buddy runs a 75/88 1.32 t6 with a welded comp cover and they passed him at TS. If they dont pull his cover it would be hard for anybody to tell.

Unless the looked at it hitting the shock tower. LOL

Is this what you are running? I was thinking about this until i seen that the comp wheel is actually 63.5mm. Along with the threads were guys wanted more air with a s465 is why i went the way i did.

I know several others that ran the same compressor setup and got by. TS was just way too many trucks to get teched. They should consider themselves lucky they didn't get caught. If I run in the 2.6 class, I won't have a problem protesting an illegal charger.

A buddy of mine has a PDI and he has nothing but good things to say about it. I have found a few used ATS manifolds on here but they haven't been too much of a bargain. Sounds like progress.

Yeah, I sold my ATS and bought a PDI T4 and it fits perfectly and looks good.

The place I bought mine said if I thought the .9 AR felt to small they could get me a 1.0 for $125... just what they told me
 
i got the 110 now but if i have a problem staying on top of it i was told i could get the 1.0 for $200

Who is that through? Maybe I am just getting the price wrong? I'm pretty sure I was told $125, though that was a phone conversation months ago....LOL
 
Got 're running this afternoon! Video should be up soon... got a few bugs to work out before I take it for a spin though. Like the Tach isn't working and its idling high... sounds like about 2K.
 
Sweet, let's see it. I cant wait to get mine done. I'm still hoping for this weekend If I can get the conversion lines and cam sensor adapter in time.
