I bought this truck a while back and I think the fuel mileage sucs. Drove her home and all it got was 15.2, now that was hwy driving. In town I get 13.2. The truck is all stock and only has 41k. My 01 is a fully loaded welding tk and it gets 14.75 in town with out the Edge Ez hooked up.

Head was rebuilt about 4 months ago and it has about 5k miles on it. I have 1k in it, will take 700.00 for it. Head was put on trying to trouble shoot bad piston. Block and old head for sale also, take 400.00 Would prefer to sale local as I know nothing about shipping nor wish to learn.

I found my thread tap but no drill bit. Anybody know what size drill bit? Pricol gauges.

Should you buy your copper washers from the company you bought you injectors from? I am swapping parts over to a new to me used eng that is all stock, I just went down to local injector shop and bought washers over the counter for a 24valve. Would there be a diff? I am pulling stock injectors...

Should I get the crank repair kit or just the seals? The front seal has a small mark on crank where seal ran on the outer part of the seal but the inside is good on marks ( groove ). Have not got to rear seal yet. Another question, will the seal kit seap oil between the crank and the bushing?

Will the apps off a 01 SO auto work on a 01 SO standard? And are the injectors the same?

Has anyone here used the lock n stich method of fixing a 53 block.

Complete low mileage, will even settle for a 53 block.

Need 24 valve, low miles, less than 150. Will even take a 53 block NOT CRACKED.

Need good shop for stock short block.

Need to clean threads in block and cant find size. Also I think its called a bottom hole tap?

I put a rebuilt head on my truck and it blew gasket in about 3 days now it has a slite miss , I am guessing between cylinders, have not ran compression test yet. I need some sugestions on what I need to do next time. I torqued the head 50 the first round, 77 the second and rechecked the third...
