I have a 05 5.9 with a bad head. I also found a 24 valve vp head cheap local to me. Can this head be used with common rail injectors? I know it can be done the other way around but requires a little grinding of water passages to match up.

I know with naturally aspirated gas engines the usual rule is to keep a minimum of .200 between bores in siames bore blocks. What would be a good rule to go by with diesels? Also if you planned to fire or o ring it. What if you were going to run a lot of boost (70-80psi maybe more)?
