03 PCM Update???

I have a 03 and noticed that there was an update for the whole "check guages" intermediate blink deal.

The dealer wants $85 for the re flash of ECM.

Here is the question...is it worth it or is the original program on my ecm better than the new flash?

Dont want to fix a problem that could limit my trucks performance or cause other issues with my Smarty or Edge EZ.

Any thoughts?

if it was a tsb then that would have already been covered with a smarty update.

The TSB that I was looking at is 08-004-03. TSB 08-004-03

Not sure I understand? Currently I am running the Smarty 4.1? on Revo Level 7. Do I understand that when I program the ecm, the smarty programs the latest TSB updates required?
 
yes your truck should already have that update done via smarty software

I had 4.18 so I am updating to 4.19 now.

I did not know that you added all the TSB fixes that were ECM related in your Smarty, GREAT JOB!

Bob,did you leave out the Backup horn /Door open TSB? on 03/04
 
Wish there was a TSB that would enable the PTO throttle increase with the cruise control while idling.

i still havent found out if the dealer can do that or not. on a early 2003

not sure if the smarty can either for a early 2003
