1971 IH Travelette DTA466 swap

No power numbers. The gauge was broken. Just used the dyno to check it out and get everything situated.

Rustin, check Barnes International trucks, he might have what you need.

Been a while since I posted last. Been busy and haven't been on my computer much. Downloaded a forum app, let's see how it works.

Body work began, some iffy sand blasting done so I took it back to get straightened out.

While unloading the cab one of the blocks was tipped on the stand I made, well the cab slipped and crushed my thumb.....

Got the transmissions back. Painted the 5 speed. There was no bearing available for the DT-OD Spicer so I'm having a friend make a bushing from oil impregnated bearing bronze.

Bought some Eastwood supplies to coat inside the rockers and cab corners, any double panels I could get into.

Hoping to keep steady progress now! Next step is get the transmission in and the body on the frame and keep the body work going.

Yet another reason to have a spare carry deck crane laying around. I like your style.

Going to town with the seam sealer.

Clutch install action... hopefully installing the transmission next, as soon as I figure out where I put the clutch fork....

My friend Brandon did some lathe action to get the bushing out of the bronze.

Sorry the last one is dark. Frame is still in the driveway.

Glad to see this build still moving forward. I looked at trying to stuff a DT466 in a 76 Ford Crew Cab but things and life got in the way. Glad to see someone else making the swap happen.

Also I couldnt see any of the pictures from middle of page 9 and back. I can see everything after that. Either way thanks for the build thread.

Found the correct clutch fork!!

Used Eastwood rust encapsulator on the hard to reach and usually rust probe areas. Then onto the black on the box and cab!!

Should get some Orange on this week, then get the box and cab back on the frame!

Doors, fenders, inner fenders, and 2 hoods at sand blast. Also picked up a NOS tailgate from Mike Moore. Making progress... Slow progress.

IH

That's lookin' real good. I haven't seen an IH of that vintage on the road in many years. I love old pickups.
