1997 "Super Duty" Van

I have a gentleman with a 1997 "Super Duty" Van as he calls it. He has tried to get a bully dog for the van and they tell him that he needs to ship the ECU to them since it is a Brazilian ECU. Is there a x-position chip that can be used for this vehicle without having to ship the ECU off?
