Stupid question. Are the brakes on a 99 powered by vacuum pump or power steering pump?

Lol i agree but i had a brain fart lol. Brakes are starting to get harder and harder to press as in power brakes are fading and I have a vacume pump seal leak and thought possibly that was the cause. Stupid brain farts get me all the time
