2001 dodge idle miss

Ill start from the beginning, my edge started to freeze up its screen and I would lose power for split seconds at a time and it wouldn't turn off after the truck shut off. The next day it wouldn't even connect to the module, so I called edge and did the diagnostics, they said the update the screen so I still can't get the driver on the computer to recognize the screen... Still working on that, later that day I turned the key on and Walah it connected, screen doesn't freeze up and acts normal, but now the truck had an awful idle! Big lopes in gear, no smoke at all, no engine codes, just a hell of a lope. So I took the edge completely out and still have the lope, I'm still going to send the edge in for repair and get it all redone if they will do it cheap.


Still have the idle problem though, I'm putting new filters in the airdog in a few hours so from there does anyone have any suggestions? Oh and I have to check the apps voltage
 
Put new filters on it, no change that I can tell. I need to take it for a spin and maybe run some cleaner through it
 
He'll its about the same price... Especially if I had a couple buddies from *cough cough* Illinois to come help me put it on lol
 
Lol damn. Honestly maybe I'm a gluten for punishment but I'm comfortable with getting a hot rod vp or just a stock replacement from a well known company... I think the only reason this one is acting up is because I didn't change my fuel filters on time...the coincidence is this idle thing happened right after my edge started acting up....
 
I never had problems like that with my VP$$. I always had an airdog and fresh injectors in mine though. I put a new apps on the day after i bought it. Also, i never ran a pos edge, just a few pos quadzillas.
 
Post em on here if you can maybe someone has seen this before and can keep me from spending more money than nesscesary

Possibly the ECM. My 2001 had that same issue where it would shut off sometimes then the ECM totally went out. Wouldn't rev similar to yours, but then would take off on its own randomly to full throttle and had a terrible lope. Might try swapping with someone if your able to before ya throw a bunch of parts at it.
