2003 6.0 engine knocking

I'm back again. Have a 2003 6.0 f-250 with 177000 miles. New oil and all new filters oil and fuel. Truck was idleing when I came back put it in gear and pressed gas I heard a knocking sound. Checked for leaks and anything out of the ordinary and disnt see anything. So I eased it home noticed I had tremendous loss of power and sounded and a tremendous know. Just installed a new injector and replaced high pressure o rings in the driver oil rail. Havent put 100 miles on it now this problem. Any thoughts. Also the egr hasn't been deleted but I pulled the sensor and don't see any water and truck didn't lose any water on the way home. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
 
Did you blow the oil out of the injector hold down threads so that it properly seated?
 
I didn't do that. I cleaned out where the injector goes but not the hold down part. Will have to pull the oil rail and check to see if its tight.
 
Compression test. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best?
