2006 Steering Column

After diagnosing my warped rotors the other day I started tracing a bit of play in the steering. Originally I figured it was the steering shaft or tie rod ends but all of those check out good. Anyone have columns with issues? This is on a 2wd if that matters.

The coulum can get play to in the tilt joint they are fairly easy to change out did 1 my self for it had a catch to it when turning back and forth. Now the that 1 is getting a little play in it .

Did you just pick up the joint at the dealership?

no they wanted 1400.00 that is just the metal colum nothing else wet to selvage and got low milage used 1 . I wanted a complete 1 but found 1 close with no steering wheel for about 130.00 completes fun up to 300.00 or so and down from there. It looks intimidating but once into it very simple
