I am looking at a 2008 Dodge. When you press on the gas and and let off the fast it has run on like the motor has no compression. I have not drove a dodge since the old 95, it does not do that. Just wanted to know if all the new motors were this way.

Throttle hang?

like when a gas motor is worn out, you let off the gas and it takes a second to come down in rpm

All common rails do that.... They make upwards of 25,000 psi in the fuel system. So to gain rpm/power the pressure increases. When you let off fuel pedal abruptly from higher RPM's and such, the fuel pressure/volume has to go somewhere.

My vp did that on one of my dyno runs, not fun.
