271 input gear

I'm putting a larger splined output shaft in my 48re, so I ordered a "05086311-AA" 29 spline t-case input from a shop, and I guess they cross referenced that over to this "421670D" Taiwanese shaft and sent it. Is anyone using this Taiwan shaft with any luck? Not sure if I should try get a Mopar one instead or try this one out.

I just did this swap on my NP271D when I did the auto to manual swap.

My input shaft is OEM, made in USA. Your pics shows its different than mine. It have what I believe look like a freeze plug in middle of it.

Word of caution, find & buy your input, rear output, maybe front output shaft seals. They're dealer only parts so have them ordered ahead of time.

Napa has the seals

Thanks for the reply. Really didn't want to send this one back because it was about half the price of the Mopar one.

Bump to see if anyone has used this Taiwan input gear?

What Napa part #? They can't get me anything that worked even though it shows it'll fit but it won't.

How much you paid for it? I bought my OEM for around $185 shipped to me

It may depends on your area, NOBODY have input and rear output seals when I did the swap. I searched online and found that many said its wrong so I didn't want to have it special ordered and wait for a few days just to find out if it's wrong so I just bought OEM seal online so I know I have the right part for the swap.

Your experience may vary.
