4 flat to 7 round adapter

My 06 came with only a 4 flat trailer wiring adapter. Want to add a 7 round. Is this the best option or is there a cleaner plug and play kit?

I would look through your manual, I was thinking that a kit from MOPAR might be better. I would look into more of a permanent kit. I would think there would be a kit that plugs into the wires and your truck might be prewired for a brake controller already.



Just pull the trans and safe yourself lots of $$$

Does anyone have the pinout for the truck side connector? Mine is full of green corrosion and im sure im going to need to replace pins.

OR is there just a connector pigtail i could buy?

Hoppy or Reece either one should have a 7-way recept kit that plugs into the factory adapter. I wouldn't cut and splice unless I just absolutely had to.

I like the ones with the pin out molded onto the hinged cover. When I need to test light junk it is right there on the recept.
