47re new rebuild won't move now

If the piston that you installed in the back side of the hub on the input shaft was installed backwards (very easy to do) you will have reverse but no forward gears.

Thanks guys for all the help I did put the piston in for forward drive backwards

Are you sure you installed the apply piston seal correctly? The lip has to go towards the drum if my memory is correct. If you don't use one of those seal installers you fold the lip backwards

i had the same problem when i did my 47rh. Not sure if it is the same but when i put the vakvebody back in i didnt have the little rod that slides with the valvebody detent shift piece in there. It would go in reverse but no forward gears. Maybe this will help.

Thanks guys I got it figured out apply piston was in wrong and the valve body needed to be cleaned
