47rh with a 98 auto transfer case

Friend of mine bought a 98 truck minus a trans. Transfer case is from an auto 98 truck, a 47rh should bolt right up to it correct? Can't find an RE to save his life and the RH in question is readily available. Any help appreciated, thanks!

The rh has a longer tailshaft/overdrive section because of the governor.

the RH is about 2" longer IIRC.

Rh is longer than the re and yes the transfer case will bolt up...I believe the difference is in the driveshafts in terms of multiple truck fitment. 23 spline for an auto vs 29 spline for a manual AFAIK.
