5.9 CR going in a 1984 GMC 1500

Removed stock dash and got 66 dash and dodge cluster mocked in. Cut out my motor mount brackets and got them tacked in.

Swapped a passenger side mount onto the driver side. Got the engine/Trans about where I want it. Gonna have to do something with the oil pan. May have to chop a couple inches out of it.

Great build! A word of advice about the oil pan- I took 3" out of mine for clearance and reduced the capacity to roughly 2 gallons. The oil ran hotter than I would have liked and the pistons/cooling system took a beating. I'm moving the front of the sump on my CR build forward to retain capacity with the reduced height. I'd recommend retaining the stock 11qts.

Good to know. I plan on adding a "kick out" around the sump. I figured it up, and I'd be losing almost 3qts.

Yep yep I remember ya paul told me to check out thread earlier builds looking great.. Ya need any help let me know i got spare parts along the way who knows I might have it..

Been working on it here and there, but nothing pic worthy. The usual 2 steps forward 10 steps back stuff.

Got the trans cross member and mount mostly done.

no room for the downpipe? maybe do away with the elbow off the back of the stock charger and weld a flange to an aftermarket dmax style downpipe since they do a 90* right out of the turbo

or would a 2nd gen manifold allow it to clear?
