my truck only sees the track once in a wile.(dragrace)it is mostly on the freeway doing 70 mph.would the 64/74/14 be better at keeping egts cool ? mods are: fass/schiedvp/150 injectors/cam/p&phead-auto tranny .thank you for the help.

I have a 64/65/13 on my truck and between 20-30 psi boost it serges like a b***h with stock injectors and worse with the 150's in. I dont know what every body else is seeing with them but i would not recommend them. i did however put a HT3B under and it works great and the serge went away

i dont know a thing about turbos. how would a 64/71/14 compare with the others? i am thinking htt/ss but i need to learn more before i part with my cash. the 71/14 and 74/14 are so close i guess more research is required on my part. i have looked around for weeks and learning about these isnt easy. with the mods that i have some i spoke with say a 66.i just dont see that working for a d.d.

well the 64/65/13 is the smallest of the 3 it is a good upgrade from stock but not big enough to handle alot of fuel, it will spool super fast but wont have good top end. A 64/71/14 is the middle guy still has decent spool up but will also flow well in the higher rpm's. A 64/74/14 sized turbo is going to be the laggiest due to the size of the exhaust wheel but will support alot of fuel and horsepower in the upper rpm's. Basically the only difference between all three is the size the their exhaust wheels, the bigger you go the laggier it becomes. I dont know your mods but i would get the 64/71/14.

the 65mm turbine is really too small for anything more than a 62 (its borderline there IMO) unless the turbo is a secondary.

Engineered Diesel!
I'm running their 62/68/14 with their "super62" wheel and their race cover with the 68mm turbine.

I took Westons recommendation and had this one built.

It is so far THE BEST charger out of the 4 I have ran.
62/65/14, fast spool no topend
64/71/14, laggy but had a good topend
64/74/14, REAL laggy but pulled like a jet
62/68/14, Fast spool and great topend. I would say its spools like a 62, pulls the same if not better than a 71 and cools like a 71.

and you're running 5x.012 or .014's?

smokem what do you think about a 64/68 or a 66/68? I have heard they don't work so well together as a 62 but wanted some input from you?

I have ran both. I went back to a 5x.012" because I have been doing alot of camping. The new camper weighs 12k empty. I wish I would have kept the 5x.014s. I am going to have weston rework them to a 5x.014 or a 5x.016 because the twins 62/68/14 with a S475 and an external gate will be done this winter.:evil

BTW, did you see the tappet cover I posted in the other thread?
