6bt! generator to a truck?

Has anyone ever taken a 6bt motor from an Onan gen set and put it in a truck before? what all needed to be done to the motor to make it road worthy?

but the pistons are pretty much the same design? I would most likely rebuild the engine before putting it in a truck so swapping a cam or changing over to a p-pump wouldn't be that hard to do. I just wanted to make sure that the block, crank, head, pistons, injectors are pretty much the same/interchangable with a 12v.

Make sure the block has mounting holes for the engine mounts.
