7.3 miss

i have buddy who has a 2001 7.3. has a slight miss, have ran a cylinder contribution test and a inj. electrical self test, came up with inj 2 down, replaced inj and was ok for couple of days but miss is back. When he puts his programmer on it the truck runs fine with no miss. Also he is using about 4 quarts oil in a months time. Its not leaking it out anywhere on the ground. Im not to fimilar with the 7.3's, but any help with this would be great!

I have and inj going out on the #8 and everyone i have talked to has told me that if you only replace the one that is bad the others will follow once you get the new one in. So you may have lost another one.

Did you change the injector harness?

no the injector harness hasnt been replaced just a few of the injectors

try the harnesses and yes injectors will follow not real common but does happen and a gallon of oil in a month sounds like cut oring on injector on install possible
