7 hole vs 5 hole injectors

I've searched and may not be using the right terms, but it seems as though 7 hole injectors are not what they're supposed to be in the 12v. I ended up running with what are supposed to be engineered diesel 7x14s. What would be a similarly sized 5 hole injector, and what improvements would I notice changing over?

i loved my 7x 10 better then my 5x 14 also thought 7 hole ran stronger and less smoky

I had the exact opposite experience....although both the 7-hole and 5-hole injectors are built with cheap ass nozzles and the wrong spray pattern so I am more inclined to believe my issues were from a crappy vendor than the design themselves.

I really debated on 7x.010's when I was looking for injectors. Half the people said go 7 hole, half said go 5 hole. I really wanted to experiment with 7 holes, but got a good deal on a set of 5x.014's from a good guy, couldn't be happier.

That's because those 7x.010's are smaller and fuel less than 5x.014's
