90 mercedes 350 dsl ?

found a 90 350 sdl for cheap the problem is that it will pressureize the coolent system and pop the hoses off. Ia m figureing head gasket ? is there anything else and how bad is the head gasket to change ?

and do you know what kind of mileage it might get

350 SD huh? non turbo correct? 5 cyl?

Sounds like a head gasket to me.

I'll bet you will get mid to upper 20's maybe even low 30's if the injection system is good.

$500.00 is to much money for that car.

It does look like a turbo car but the pics are kinda stealthy.

I'll bet it's a head gasket but I remember reading somewhere about a head problem.
Hope I'm wrong through.

George, those motors tend to throw rods at a whim. Blown headgaskets are a problem too. You would be inheriting problems. Take a lookhere. It is one of the best Mercedes diesel discussion forums out there.
