99 Chevy 3500 HD (CK) 6.5 to dmax

I wouldn't have went with lower stall my self. You have lower rear end gears. And more heat it is creating.

Why did you go with a looser TC?

i wanted one to replace the stock (1500), hughes would have made me one but they would have to build it and it would be 2 week out... TCI, B&M, BD where skecthy at best on info and majority of theirs are geared for gasers so 2400, 3000, 3500 are common stalls

dale
exactly why i want a the stock low stall TC .. i have short legs i dont need/want the additional stall to get me going.. less slippage thus less heat put into the tranny and more fuel burnt..

Yes sir that is what I was wanting to say.Better fuel mileage equals prophets

Dale

hauled this today... TC works... but it take a noticable more throttles and time to get it moving off the line ~9,000lb load gross 22,500lb

Your the only one that has to be happy with how it works.Do you have a trans temp gauge to compare the difference between the two torque converter's

Is great to have a backup truck.
How are you liking the Allison in the new truck.

the longer legs are nice.. been tweaking my tune and getting the power where it needs to be.. right now i can pull 25k@68mph up a 5% in 5th with cruise and no drop in speed..
only have a 4" full exhaust on the truck.. need to get an intake, guages, lift pump and a better fuel cooler.. seen 190* return fuel temps last week with less than 1/3 tank left.. seams i can get ~200 miles on the first 1/2 tank then maybe 100 for the last 1/2

need to get Oil temp as well

The fuel temp.gauge is one I don't have.LOL You one up on me.Didn't even think about it.Glad you getting it dialed in.
Did you figure out why your back window broke.

the fuel guage seams to move slower at 120-140* than at 190*.. i know the ECM will derate the engine above 200*. mind you this is the return fuel line temp which is where it is messured.

on the window... the slider sticks out ~1/2-5/8" which is about 1/2 the gap between the bed and cab..

I think your fuel gets hotter because of much higher rail pressure.Got me wanting to check temp.now.Just going to get another sending unit and put it on a switch and use the trans.temp.gauge.

Whos fault was it? That's far from totalled in my opinion .
even though i had completed 50-75% of the turn and the van sideswiped coming out of the ditch to split me and a telephone pole.. i was still sited.... if the van had not dove into the ditch.. he would have ate it hard in the neck area of the trailer and seriously injured himself if not killed himself
