A pillar hardware

Previous owner stripped out the hardware securing the a pillar/handle. Is there anyway I could drill out the factory holes and install inserts? If so where can I find the inserts/hardware?

Can you re-tap the hole ?

If memory serves there are pressed inserts in the two holes.
You could just find some threaded inserts to fit that hole. Or drill them out to what ever insert size you find an insert for.

Thanks guys ill tear into it on saturday. Where could I find new inserts? Im not even sure the hardware is oem thats in it now. Thanks again.

napa sould have them we used them when mounting camper style mirors on trucks
